这书很好看。书都没看完我就已经开始做书上的方子了,这个很少见的。通常不管是书还是网站,我都得看上几年才会开始动手。Judith Jones是Julia Child的责编,贯穿Julia Child的整个career。所以她道听途说还是知道不少东西的。你看Julia Child经常长篇大论的写很长的方子,比方说french bread, 写了横有八页的instruction。Judith把它变成了一页半吧。

整本书基本上都是french,特别多butter。看到肉还有那么多不同的做法感到很兴奋,一定得试试。老太太我觉得吃的不少。她的这些适合一个人的菜谱,我看两个人吃也够:) 里面很多关于leftover怎么办,我觉得但凡天天在厨房里混从来不照菜谱来的人应该都有自己的办法。所以最珍贵的部分,至少对我,是那些简化的julia child’s recipe, 还有那些bakery, pastry等等reduce size的cookie啊,quiche啊,还有pudding等。因为要不然其他的baking recipes都分量太大了。

对了一个她说的tip我觉得可以借鉴: 炖完汤以后,把汤倒进冰块盒子,然后就可以每次拿几个cubes这样用。

这个主题我很感兴趣,主要是想看怎么做省事的东西。

恩。。。可能没有那么简单。。。主要是很复杂的东西变简单了。。。但是还是从scratch开始做起的。。。和rachel ray或者sandra lee的那些从半成品开始的相比,时间还是花得多的。。。
